Avril Lavigne rocks a colour-changing hoodie in magazine shoot: 'At her finest'

Avril Lavigne isn't losing grip of her bad girl power.

The "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boi" singer is the latest star to cover Euphoria magazine — and she's doing it in full-on pop-punk style. Lavigne took to social media on Saturday, sharing the cover shots where she's rocking a colour-changing hoodie (which is pink but shifts to a deep black when captured on flash photography) with custom neon pink embroidery that reads "Avril."

Fans filled the pop-punk legend's comments section with compliments on her beauty and fascination with the outfit.

"Loving the sweater! And looking stunning!" raved one follower.

"Woah. Hoodie is crazy," wrote singer Jagwar Twin.

"Best damn thing I've seen today," commented another fan.

"I love this look, my queen," someone else replied.

"You look mad good, girl. Love the black and pink sweatshirt," a fan shared.

"Pop-punk princess at her finest," said another.

Now dubbed as the pop-punk queen by Euphoria, Lavigne — who began carving her own path more than 20 years ago — is still killing the game. The "Girlfriend" artist recently wrapped her "Love Sux" Canada tour after having to postpone some dates due to COVID-19, is prepping to tour the United States with fellow artist Machine Gun Kelly and celebrated the 20th anniversary of her song "Let Go" earlier this month.

While the Canadian star is now rocking the world, forging a career in the music industry wasn't simple. “I had to figure out my style. I knew what I wanted and I loved the guitar and the electric guitar ... and I wanted to rock out. I also really wanted to write my songs. It was a challenge of finding people to co-write songs with and to produce the album that understood my vision," Lavigne told Euphoria.

But after more than two decades into her career, Lavigne is reaping major benefits that not every musician or artist sees.

“I still today literally know the same fans that have been at the shows from day one,” she noted. “A lot of them were in the front row and are still in the front row. How lucky am I to have a fanbase? People really connected with my music then, and still do to this day. I feel so grateful.”
