Omaha police have arrested a 30-year-old man in relation to a robbery at Ground Floor Guitar on July 1.
Jorge Lopez was taken into custody Friday on five counts of robbery. Omaha police said a second suspect is still outstanding.
According to authorities, two suspects entered the guitar store, located near S 40th and Farnam streets, at 3:45 p.m. on July 1, one armed with a dark-colored handgun — the pair robbed the store and two customers.
Investigators said one suspect was a Hispanic male, 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches in height, with a husky build. He was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and dark pants or jeans, and armed with the dark-colored handgun.
The second suspect was a possible white male, 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches in height, weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a dark hoodie with a white bandana covering his face.
Owner John Svatos was in the store with customers when two men robbed the place Friday. The owner says one suspect posed as a customer before pulling out a gun at the counter.
Seven customers have filed police reports with Omaha police. Fenders, Gibsons and a Gretsch guitar priced around $3,500 are among the confirmed missing equipment.
