Following on from 2020’s Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Year of the Ox”, Jordan Brand and Nike are celebrating Chinese New Year once again in 2021 with the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chinese New Year Tiger”. Decked out in animal print and boasting plenty of special edition features, these are definitely one for the collectors. While we’re already loving them, it’s also now confirmed that these will be limited to just 5000 pairs worldwide, making them extremely limited!
They’re crafted from premium leather across the uppers giving them a durable and comfortable feel, with the colourway consisting of shades of off-white, black, yellow and orange. Tiger stripes adorn the inner panels to honour the animal of the year, while the laces finish off the clean-cut look in jet black.
Nike Swoosh logos are conveniently placed on both the lateral and medial sides, while the Nike Air logo is present at the tongues in orange, staying true to the 1985 original design. While the heel logos would usually be wings on the AJ1 OG, this time around Jordan Brand has swapped them out for special embroidered tiger head logos. Graphic-printed insoles complete the look, while this all sits on top of a white midsole unit that’s finished with a gum sole.
If you’re looking to get your hands on these ultra-limited Air Jordans then be aware it’s not going to be easy, as they’re releasing exclusively via Nike China and are limited to just 5000 pairs.
