South Korean travel retailer Lotte Duty Free, for whom the Chinese consumer is all-important, is celebrating its 42nd anniversary from 1 February 1 to 14 March, offering extra loyalty points and lottery draw to all members.
During the celebrations, Red and Purple tier members are entitled to an upgrade to Black tier, with up to -20% off regular price items, extra loyalty points, and Express pick-up point service.

An online and offline Valentine’s Day & White Valentine’s Day (14 March) promotion offers discounts on jewellery and watches, including -40% off Swarovski, -55% off Paul Smith and -50% off both DKNY and Tory Burch. In fashion accessories discounts include -40% off Viktor & Rolf, Tom Ford, Fendi, Balmain, Bulgari, Prada, Gucci, Celine and Bottega Veneta and up to -50% off Longchamp.
A Valentine’s Day promotion at Sunrise Duty Free featured perfume, skincare, and makeup products. Included in the promotion were Tom Ford edp (Rose de Chine, Rose de Russie, Rose d’Amalfi) at CNY1502/US$238; Jo Malone Red Rose Candle (200g) CNY430/US$68; L’Occitane hand cream 30ml *5 CNY311/US$49; La Mer Moisturizing Matte Lotion CNY1352/US$214 and Shiseido Vital Perfection Eye Mask (12 packets) CNY336/US$53.
Also featured were Clé de Peau Beauté Enhancing Eye Contour Cream Supreme CNY1179/US$187; Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Fluid Foundation Matte CNY450/US$71; Make Up Forever Watertone Foundation CNY181/US$29; Tom Ford Tubéreuse Nue Eau De Parfum CNY1510/US$239; Clinique Radical Dark Spot Corrector + Interrupter CNY570/US$90; Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution CNY300/US$47 and Jo Malone Vitamin E hand cream CNY309/US$49.
Sunrise Duty Free also ran a livestream at 19:30 on 18 February, with four rounds of flash sales on chocolates, perfume, skincare, and makeup products.

HTDF celebrated Valentine’s Day with up to -35% off bestsellers, ‘Buy 3 get -30% off’ perfume and cosmetics, and up to -70% off other categories.
It offered additional promotions in partnership with American Express (cash coupon of CNY370/US$59 per single purchase over CNY3000/US$475 via Amex RMB card on POS machine); China Everbright Bank (random discount as high as CNY300/US$47 per spend over a set amount spent via WeChat Pay using the Everbright credit card; and Bank of China (CNY109/US$17 off any spend over CNY500/US$79 using BOC’s e-RMB wallet).
There was also a premium skin-whitening spa experience for customers with one-off purchase over CNY5000/US$791.

A Schaffrath 18k gold and diamond bracelet CNY10646/US$1686, Piaget 18k gold and diamond ring CNY18350/US$2096 were featured along with Biotherm Homme Aquapower skincare set CNY441.7/US$70, Ferragamo sneaker CNY4700/US$744 and Ferragamo leather belt CNY3300/US$523.
CDFG ran several promotions across seven channels to celebrate Valentine’s Day and Lantern’s Festival. A flash sale was offered from 7 to 15 February on the CDF Beauty mini program with an extra -25% off per HK$900/US$115 spend and -30% off HK$1500/US$192 spend on selected items and -25% off Valrhona chocolates.
CDF Beauty offered a promotion until 20 February at its offline outlets, with an extra -25% off for spend over HK$3,000/US$384, and -15% off for spend over HK$1,500/US$192. On CDF Member WeChat mini-program, customers could enjoy CNY40/US$6 off CNY1,000/US$158 spend, CNY100/US$16 off CNY2,000/US$317 spend, and CNY200/US$32 off CNY3,000/US$475 spend on 10-15 February.
Promotional items included Gucci lipstick #509 CNY185/US$29; Bobby Brown pink glow palette CNY315/US$50; Agatha 925 silver earrings CNY412/US$65; YSL perfume CNY666/US$105, Coach handbag at CNY2326/US$368 and Dr. Arrivo Ghost skincare device CNY7100/US$1,124.
Promotions at Duty Zero by CDF focused on chocolates and beverages. Offers included -30% off selected Champagne, -20% off on selected chocolates, and an extra HK$140/US$18 off for spend over HK$1,200/US$154 (excluding Kweichow Moutai) at its online channel, and -35% off selected wine and ‘Buy 2 get -30% off’ selected Champagne until 14 February.
Promotions at CDF International (Macau) included buy 1 get -35% off and special sale on selected gift sets until 15 February.
The newly-opened Macau Grand Lisboa Palace Shop is running a promotion until 28 February, in addition to the Valentine’s Day & Lantern’s festival promotion that offered up to MOP1,200/US$149 cash coupon per MOP9000/US$1,120 spend. Customers who have shopped at the Grand Lisboa Palace Shop can register for a lucky draw with total spend over MOP3,000/US$373 with no more than two receipts. Top prizes include iPhone 13 and free travel to Macau for two.
CDF Macau Airport Duty Free Shop ran a promotion until 15 February, offering at least -20% off selected bestsellers and buy-3-get-1-free on selected chocolates, as well as a special promotion on Luzhou Laojiao.
CDF Cambodia Duty Free ran a promotion 13-15 February, with up to -50% off YSL and Tom Ford Beauty.
CDFG also offered a preview of its promotions from 21 to 25 February on the CDF Member WeChat mini program.
Discount coupons of CNY50/US$8 off CNY800/US$127 spend, CNY100/US$16 off CNY1,500/US$237 spend, CNY200/US$32 off CNY2500/US$396 spend on a wide selection of products are offered to all customers.

CNSC is running a limited time special sale at up to -50% off until 28 February on various products.

Seoul-based Shinsegae Duty Free featured springtime makeup and changing season skincare on its WeChat OA over the weekend.
