When Kourtney Kardashian began dating Travis Barker, she developed a much more punk fashion sense, but fans are starting to miss her old style.
Kourtney Kardashian has been in her punk-rock era ever since she began dating Travis Barker, but The Kardashians star's fans seem to miss her pre-Travis fashion choices. Kourtney and Travis began dating sometime around late 2020 to early 2021, and the more time Kourtney spent around the Blink-182 drummer, the darker her style became. The rock band rose to prominence in the '90s and sustained its success throughout the early 2000s. At the time, the band, along with singers like Avril Lavinge, were dominating the punk fashion world and populating looks like studded belts and all-black clothing. Over 20 years have passed, and Travis Barker is still dressing like he was at the height of his career, and Kourtney has followed suit.
Before Travis, Kourtney dressed much more chic and followed the fashion trends of LA girls. While she wasn't clad in Balenciaga from head to toe like her sister Kim Kardashian typically is, her style felt more Kardashian than it does now. The Poosh founder was often seen at events in elegant pant suits and on the streets of LA in distressed jeans, over-the-shoulder tops, and heels. Her style was a far cry from her current look, and the old Kourtney would have never roamed around Italy in a mini black dress and black veil over her head. While she and Travis love coordinating their punk outfits, fans are not too fond of Kourtney's new style.

The Kardashians fans find themselves longing for the days when Kourtney experimented with other colors besides black, and wish she'd go back to her pre-Travis style. Fans have been discussing her style on Reddit, with user L_Awasneverthesame saying, "I shed a tear every time I think about her old style." The user shared a series of photos of Kourtney's fashion choices throughout the years, including her in a lavender set and a yellow silk dress. The photos show a much different side of Kourtney's style, one that fans find more appealing and trendy.
"Her style used to be soft, feminine, and approachable," one Kourtney Kardashian fan."Now her style just reminds me of my former high school students who would slink into my first period late with their oversized hoodies and McDonald's breakfast." Kourtney showcases many of her fashion choices on her Instagram page, and they all seem to resemble a style brought back to life by younger stars like Willow Smith and Olivia Rodrigo, who both make music reminiscent of the early 2000s pop-punk scene. In a recent ad she and Travis did for Daring Foods, the star wore a tight red snake print mini dress with a thick black buckle strap. Fans in the Reddit thread even accused the star of "posturing" or pretending to be something she's not in order to impress someone.
Fans are clearly not in support of Kourtney living out her punk rock dreams. The reality TV star is in a much different fashion era than she was when she was dating Scott Disick, and despite her newfound happiness with Travis, fans still wish she'd readopt her old style. However, the Kar-Jenner's style is ever-changing, and Kourtney is unlikely to take fashion advice from fans on social media. There may come a day when The Kardashians star will try out some more elegant styles again, but for now, she seems to be enjoying her new Travis-inspired wardrobe.
